Welcome to McCormick Farm in Steele’s Tavern, Virginia.

McCormick Farm mcIMG_8377 I love McCormick Farm! You can step back in time as you tour historic buildings, see where the grain reaper was invented, walk along the stream and more! McCormick Farm mcIMG_8324 The McCormick family took really good care of this place so we could enjoy it today.
These historic buildings were built before 1800! McCormick Farm mcIMG_8331 Cyrus McCormick invented the grain reaper. That meant farmers didn’t have to harvest those crops by hand anymore! What an important invention! McCormick Farm mcIMG_8337 There’s a mill here. These are the big gears that turned by water power to grind grain! McCormick Farm mcIMG_8352 There are over 600 acres to explore here! McCormick Farm mcIMG_8375 For a day’s worth of fun, education and more, come and explore the McCormick Farm! CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK

Welcome to Capitol Reef National Park in Torrey, Utah.

There is lots to do at Capitol Reef National Park! You can explore cool canyons, watch wildlife and even see messages carved into the cliff walls from over a thousand years ago! Capitol Reef National Park crIMG_1463 Check out my short and really awful video about Capitol Reef National Park!

The cliffs and rocks here are all different colors. SHELBY FARMS PARK

Welcome to Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, Tennessee.

Shelby Farms Park is an amazing place! There are 4500 acres to explore, and there’s even an off-leash dog park! This is their super cool visitors’ center! Shelby Farms Park IMG_9256 They really do have buffalo! Shelby Farms Park IMG_9726 Shelby Farms Park IMG_9725 You can even adopt a buffalo. How cool is that?! Shelby Farms Park IMG_9257 Shelby Farms Park has so much to do. You can bike or hike or canoe. You can watch birds or go fishing or picnic! They even have an awesome new Woodland Discovery Playground! Now that is Mr. Pish Approved for sure!!

HAGOOD MILL HISTORIC SITE

Welcome to Hagood Mill Historic Site in Pickens, South Carolina.

Now I know that sounds boring, but it’s not! There are so many ways to have fun at Hagood Mill! Hagood Mill Historic Site hmIMG_8576 You can explore, hike, picnic and learn cool things!
This is the pretty stream that runs past the Mill!There’s so much to see here. I need to take a quick break!Hmmm, what should I explore next?5000 years old?! Now that’s old!Can you imagine having to carve your bowl out of a big rock? WOW! Hagood Mill Historic Site hmIMG_8594 With so many neat things to do, you could spend a whole day at Hagood Mill! NATIONAL AVIARY

Welcome to The National Aviary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

An aviary is a building where birds are kept – and they can fly around! At the National Aviary, people can walk through big rooms with exotic birds! Now that’s cool! Even better – there are programs just for kids here!

There are beautiful and colorful birds everywhere! National Aviary IMG_8205 I pretended I was a great explorer in the jungle discovering ponds and beautiful birds for the first time! Boy, I wish dogs were allowed. In any case, it’s Mr. Pish Approved!
